COMPANY RESUME
ESTABLISHED: March 1, 1987 as a corporation in the state of Louisiana. Corporate offices are located at 11914 Cloverland Court, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70809. OWNERSHIP: James W. (Jim) Gerald, President, received his Bachelor degree from LSU in 1967. Westinghouse Electric Corporation employed him as a field sales engineer for 7 ½ years. The next 11 years were spent in sales in the electrical supply industry as specialty product sales manager. In early 1987 he founded Automation Control Company, Inc. Douglas H. Obee, Vice-President, graduated in 1968 from The University of Cincinnati with a B.S.E.E. degree. After 8 years in electrical manufacturer and wholesaler sales, he was Engineered Products Manager for 10 years for an air compressor supplier. He started with ACC in 1987. ACTIVITIES: Automation Control Company was established to offer engineered products and systems to the industrial, marine, and utility markets. As a direct wholesaler to user companies and their contractors primarily in the Louisiana market area, ACC has expanded to include services to many customers in the Caribbean area as well as the oil and gas industry in the Middle East, and as a manufacturer's agent for many electrical equipment manufacturers. In addition, ACC designs and builds custom engineered electrical control panels in our facility. Our engineering department can provide CAD design and documentation. We also offer on-site visits for applications relating to protective relaying, lightning prevention equipment, power quality issues, grounding, and uninterruptible power supplies. LOCATION: The Baton Rouge corporate office, control panel fabrication shop, and warehouse are located at 11914 Cloverland Court in a 6600 SQ. FT. facility. A resident salesman is located in Lafayette, LA, and another in the New Orleans area. EQUIPMENT: Assembly area includes: forklift, air compressor, welding machine, plasma cutter, drill press, general hand and power tools, signal generators, and power supplies of 480/3, 240/3, 208/3, 277/1, 240/1, 120/1, and 0-125VDC.
