HISTORY
Automation Control Company was established March 1, 1987 as a Corporation in the state of Louisiana to offer engineered products and systems to the industrial, marine, and utility markets, and to be a manufacturer's agent for many electrical equipment manufacturers.
In addition, ACC designs and assembles custom engineered electrical control panels in our facility. Our engineering department can provide CAD design and documentation. We also offer on-site visits for applications relating to protective relaying, lightning prevention equipment, power quality issues, grounding, and uninterruptible power supplies.

James W. (Jim) Gerald, former President, received his Bachelor degree from LSU in 1967. Westinghouse Electric Corporation employed him as a field sales engineer for 7 ½ years. The next 11 years were spent in sales in the electrical supply industry as specialty product sales manager. In early 1987 he founded Automation Control Company, Inc. He retired in 2019.

Douglas H. Obee, former Vice-President, graduated in 1968 from The University of Cincinnati with a B.S.E.E. degree. After 8 years in electrical manufacturer and wholesaler sales, he was Engineered Products Manager for 10 years for an air compressor supplier. He started with ACC in 1987 and retired in July of 2010.
